This land of sandstone, yucca and sage bless me

The contrast of dry desert earth and the stark blue of New Mexico high desert skies is mesmerizing.

I often just sit in silence and watch the romance of earth and sky. I am often inspired by the moments of cloud gathering at the rush of green desert sage - it is here on the lands of my Navajo people that I inhale 'beautyway.'

I captured this photograph this past weekend while visiting my family's rez ranch homelands in the Huerfano, NM community. This land is my 'balance' place, a space where I can find solace and inspiration. This land of sandstone, yucca and sage bless me, and I respect it.
