Created as an homage to my desert ancestors, I focus on the historical significance of Indigenous southwestern tribal adornment culture and the perpetuation of those adornment practices perpetuated into the 21st century. These earrings were acquired this past weekend at the annual Autry Indian Art Market in Los Angeles, CA. They were hand made by Kewa (Santa Domingo Pueblo) artist Warren Nieto. I was able to purchase them directly from the artist.
